Meet the Artist

Nicholas Pella is an artist and educator based in Omaha, Nebraska, where he teaches art at Millard West High School.

His work explores the intersection of perception, memory, and abstraction, transforming ordinary moments into layered, textured paintings that reward close observation.

Ideas are inspired by nature, travel, experiences, and emotions. The creative process and studio practice propels each series further through the  exploration of the materials and the limitations set by the artist.

Nicholas is supported by his circle of creative friends, his students and colleagues, and his wife and two children.
